Introducing Mr. Arretche

My name is Mr. Arretche, and I am your child's teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. It is my goal to provide all students with a positive learning experience in my class. I have high expectations for your child and will do all that I can to teach, inspire, motivate, and encourage.

I possess more than 22  years of professional experience in the Special Education field and this is my sixth year as a teacher at EIS. My professional history includes positions such as an instructional aide/childcare worker for McKinley Children's Center and working for eight years at Solorio Elementary in the Etiwanda School District. My responsibilities at Solorio and in the district included being a substitute teacher, wellness aide, SDC aide, choir instructor, intervention teacher, Battle of the Books Coordinator, and lunch sports program coordinator. I have had experience working with 1st - 8th grade General and Special Education students. These experiences have allowed me to work with a wide range of students with special needs, and I have the tools necessary to meet your student's needs.

On a personal note, I am the father of a daughter and son who are in college and exploring the working world. My wife, Mrs. Arretche, is an English teacher at Los Osos High School. We have spent much of our free time enjoying music events, movies, and taking trips to Disneyland and look we forward to the day we can get back to those times.

I believe that communication is the key to a great parent-teacher relationship. I encourage you to contact me if you have any questions or concerns at any time. In addition to being accessible via email and telephone, I will do my part by periodically sending out newsletters to update you on what we have been doing in class, as well as events that are upcoming. For individual concerns, I will contact you by phone, send a note home, or email you.

I look forward to a year of fun and learning with your child! Together, we can make this a year a wonderful, positive experience.
