Welcome students and families to the 2024/2025 school year! I am Mrs.McKinely , your 7th grade Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. I am so excited to embark on this educational journey with you.

I believe in creating a positive and interactive learning environment where everyone feels valued and motivated to achieve their best. Together, we will work hard, support each other, and make this a memorable and successful year.

My family is my number 1 "why". I have a wonderful husband and 2 sons Jordan (10) and Bryant (9). I LOVE sports, especially the NBA ( GO LAKERS!). I coach my sons basketball team and I support the little league baseball team as a team mom and assistant coach. I recieved both my BA & MA in Educational Leadership from the University of La Verne #LEOforlife!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. We will do this together. I am here to help and support you every step of the way. We are all about progress over perfection.

Looking forward to a fantastic year!

My check

Our students are provided with the materials that are  needed for instruction, but many parents and students find it helpful to purchase these items for class. This list is simply a suggested supplies list:

  • Minimum 2 pencils

  • Erasers

  • Lined paper (either a notebook or loose)

  • Pencil bag

  • Folders or binder with dividers to keep papers – you choose how you organize your papers as long as you have somewhere to keep works, notes, etc.

  • Expo marker

  • Color Pencils

  • Markers or highlighters (yellow, green, pink)

Donations

These are some items that could be helpful, as they are used on a daily basis. Any donations that you are willing to provide for whole class use would be extremely helpful and greatly appreciated. Thank you!! – Mrs. McKinley
